Kākoʻo Kapiliwaiokeao

We are continuously hosting fundraisers all year round to kākoʻo (support) are haumānaʻs hula journeys. A huge disadvantage to learning about the Hawaiian culture outside of Hawaiʻi, is being outside of Hawaiʻi. 

In order for our haumāna to grow as keepers of the Hawaiian Culture, it requires learning about the culture as a whole, through many outlets, not just through hula. 

However, resources here in Kaleponi are limited and if available, costly. 

We use the funds raised for our haumāna to embark on competition journeys where they take a deep dive into the culture. We use funds for ʻaʻahu, halawai and huakaʻi to name a few.

to learn and grow in their hula and their connection to Hawaiʻi.
